Did our annual family pictures today. Had to skip the cook out at the Islas', because I was so tired i just wanted to come home and take a nap. Didn't get much knitting done as I was napping. Will try to do some more knitting now.
Finished one of the two Christmas stockings that I have to finish before Christmas. Also started on a new sweater for myself. Will start on the second stocking tomorrow. I still have to make the other stocking stuffers.
My plan in to make the headband/earwarmers for Julie, Jennie and Cam, Beanie for Caleb, not sure about Brandon and Jacob. Possibly beanies for them as well. Or I Just get them gift cards.
Still trying to deside if I should make the two stockings for Buck (hobby) and me???????

Christmas Knitting
Well it's been a very long time since I last posted. Since that post I have frogged and restarted the Frost Flower Cardigan. I have not worked on it since I restarted it. Will get back to it the first of the year.
Right now I am busy doing Christmas knitting. I have to make two stockings for two new members of the family. I'm still debating if I will make two extra stockings one for me and one for my hobby. Since we are stocking stuffers. However my daughters mother-in-law wants them so that she can hang them at her house.
I'm also making stocking stuffers for my daughter, her hobby and her two boys. Not to mention the in-laws. I just have to figure out what to make for everyone. The girls I figure making headbands/earwarmers. The boys many hats for when they go hunting. As for my little grandsons not even a clue. So backto the grind.

Progress on Frost Flowers Cardigan
I'm progressing quite nicely on my cardigan. I'm about to divide the work for the fronts and back and start sleeve shaping. I can't wait until I can finish and block the body and start on the sleeves. I'm hoping that it will turn out the way I have it pictured in my head.

Frost Flowers
Yeah, finally finished my edging and have just finished the first repeat of the body. It seems for every row forward, I take 2 rows back.
I'm been debating on my choice of front edging still debating if I will use the Checkered Acres with a slight change from 16 repeat rows to 20 repeat rows, or if I will go with something totally different.
Times will tell especially since I only have 1 repeat of the body. I just may change my mind at least 30 times. :)

Frost Flowers
Around May 27, I started a new project. This will be a lace cardigan. The pattern is from Barbara Walkers "A Treasure of Knitting Patterns". I was at a luncheon when one of the ladies walker in wearing this beautiful cardigan and as soon as I saw it I recognized the stitch pattern as Frost flowers. It had an edging at the bottom where the pattern was knit in the horizontal sewn to the body of the sweater. I did not see the front of the sweater until after the luncheon which had a different stitch pattern around the front of the cardigan until the end of the luncheon when I checked it out a bit better. The closest design that I could come up with was Checkered Acres also in the same book. I may add a few more rows than the original pattern which is a 16 row repeat I may do a 20 or a 24 row repeat not sure yet. time will tell.
As of today I am almost finished with the edging. Once I am finished with the edging (I only have about 3 more pattern repeat to do) I will pick up the stitches for the body of the sweater and work the fronts and back at the same time until I get to the armholes. The sleeves I will attempt to do from the top down if the pattern works out correctly.
Finally I will work the shawl type collar and attach it to the edging and body of the cardigan as I go along. Well I better get back to work so that I can finished this in a fairly reasonable amount of time.
The photo shows what I had completed by 5/31, however, on 6/3 I had completed 10 repeats of the pattern and frogged the entire thing as I did not like the way it was turning out on the edges. As of today I 12 pattern repeats i need a total of 14.5. Hopefully before I go to bed i will have picked up the stitched I need for the body of the sweater.

What A Week
This has been one stressfull week. It started out very nicely and everything was proceeding as planned. Bob and I drove down to Phoenix after dropping Bonny off with Julie and Co. while we were gone. We had a great late lunch/early dinner, sat at the pool for a while then went to our room.
Got up early on Tuesday, went to the hospital for Bob's surgery which went well. I stayed at the hospital until 9:00 then went back to the hotel.
Wednesday, I went backto the hospital with the expectation of taking Bob home. I didn't check out of the hotel figuring we could stop by when we were ready to head home. When I get to the hospital he is waiting for physical therapist to come and show him the exercises he is to do once we get home.
He gets out of bed and stands up and starts go get dizzy and becomes clammy. The nurses take his blood pressure and it has drop fairly low. When the doctor comes to see him he informs him that he is not being released do to his blood pressure and he is hooked up to IV. I spend another day sitting at the hospital with Bob.
Thursday, I check out of the hotel and go to the hospital to pick up Bob and take him home. After speaking with him on the phone he said that he is feeling good aside from some paid in his shoulder. He went for a walk and was doing good. When I got to the hospital all seemed a go. We waited for the doctor to come and release him. The RN and CNR checked his blood pressure he was good lying down, OK standing but it dropped 20 points when he stood up. So they put him on fluids and the doctor said if his blood pressure goes up he will release him at 4 over the phone. At 3:30 they took his blood pressure again and it was good for laying down, good for sitting, bu when he stood up it dropped down to 74/?? which canceled him going home. I drove home as I had to check on the cats and get Bonny back for Julie.
Friday, hopefully Bob will come home today. Just spoke with him and he said everything is looking good. I just hope it all stays that way. I will call Dr. Butman and let him know what is happening. I will also call Dr. Alberti's office and let them know what has transpired. Maybe we could have him transferred to the VVMC and his doctors can keep an eye on him.
The upside to all of this is I did get a good bit of knitting down while sitting at the hospital. I restarted both the Diamond Border Shell in the Terracotta as I had traded two skeins of Elle Rae Merino with Gudrun as the 2 of the 5 skein she purchased were totally different in color even if they were from the same die batch. On the Terracotta I'm on row 26 and on the purple which I frogged because the yarn had a very distinct change in color where the yarn had a knot. I undid the knot not expecting there to be a change, but I know it would have bothered me if I let it go. I did get back to row 16.
